  • Description: The department of inventions, studies, and technical experiments on powders and explosives carries out test explosions off Toulon. The technical and scientific team prepares the experiment aboard a boat. The materials are brought further offshore by a fishing boat, and then the explosions take place. Once the experiment is over, the materials are brought back aboard and the damage is assessed;
